Mr. Tsai Shou Kie,
31 Raco Course Road,
Tientsin, China.
My dear Mr.Tsai:
Thank you for your interesting and welcome letter of February 18th.
Very recently, I had a most delightful visit fron Kuo Tsao, who stopped in Andover several days, on his way to New York. It was a real joy to see him again and to find him, apparently, in such excellent health and spirits. He told me of his physical ailments of the past, but he certainly shows little evidence of them at present. He has retained his youthful looks and vigor to such an extent that the time that has actually passed since he was here seems of incredible length. His brother of course, was delighted to see him.
Kuo Fang has pretty substantially overdrawn his account again, by the way, and as I have had to borrow ahead in his favor I have called his brother’s attention to the situation. Very probably you will have heard from him by this time. I am enclosing the account as it stands to date, though I dislike, exceedingly, to have to trouble you with these business matters.
Trusting that you and your family, including all the old Andover representatives, will survive the excitement and strain of New Year, and with my heartiest good wishes for the days ahead,
believe me, always
Sincerely yours,
Mr. Tsai Shou Kie,
