Miss. E. Rosamond Greenwood, Andover, Massachusetts.

My dear Miss. Greenwood,

Thank you for your note and the check made out to Tsai. I was plain stupid, for the check should have been made out to Cole, and was indeed sent to him in payment of Tsai’s bill. The correction has now been made and another check sent.
I often think of you good people still slaving in the old office and wish you might be able to mix in with the necessary work a few glimpses of this lovely country, a breath of its stimulating air, and a tug or two at a line with a good fish on the other end of it. I seem to find a good bit of desk work that requires attention even up here, but I have had plenty of out of door exercise if not an over supply of actual recreation and certainly have no cause for complaint. I do hope that when your vacation period arrives you will be able to enjoy and profit by it to the full.

With best wishes to you all, believe me,

Very sincerely yours
