Dear Charlie:
This is only a note to acknowledge the receipt of your friendly letter of October 16, dated in Seattle and telling me of your expected early departure for the home land. This acknowledgment of its receipt becomes also a word of greeting to you in the old home. How good it will seem to be back under the family roof again and with those who are nearest to your heart, in blood and friendship, all about you; May the future bring you all the best that life has to offer.
Please give my warmest greetings to your father, brothers, and all the rest, and accept for yourself this assurance of my constant good will and my heartiest good wishes for the days ahead. Most certainly, if I ever come your way again, you will have to bear with me a bit as we gossip together over the old Andover days.
Ever sincerely yours,
Mr. K. F. Tsai
