Mr. T. Kai Liang,
20 Charlesgate, West,
Boston, Mass.

My dear Mr. Liang:

Your letter of July 25 is just at hand. I am enclosing an application form. Mr. Arthur Stearns has already written us about your brother-in-law. He seems to have done well in his work at the Stearns School. Mr. Stearns is in some doubt whether he has yet a sufficient ma story of English to permit of similar success under conditions here. We shall be willing to allow the boy a trial if, in
your judgement, and the boy’s own. It comes wise.

If the boy is prepared to pass college entrance examinations in Plane Geometry and Algebra in September, he should plan to take those examinations. We shall wish him to take our September examinations in Algebra, French and English.

Very truly yours.

Assistant to the Principal.
