My dear Dr. Jack:
Let me thank you for your note advising me of your conferences with Messrs. Chang and Euston.
I note your suggestion in regard to making engagements in advance wherever possible. We will do our best to see that this is done, though it is not always easy. As a rule boys come to me for their excuses when they are on the way to Boston; and this is the first intimation I get that they are planning to call on you.
