Dear Dr.Stearns,
Referring to my letter of 12th. November I beg to point out that the balance remaining to my credit with you, after paying Mr Frank Chinfan Lin $ 327.09, is $ 672.91 ( not s 637.91 as erroneously stated is said letter)
Now I have drawn on you, in settlement of this account, a sight draft for $ 672.91 negotiated through the Russo-Asiatic Bank Tientsin, who will pass it on to its correspondent in America, I shall feel much obliged by your honoring the draft on presentation.
Thanking you for all the trouble taken by you in the matter, and wishing you a happy new year.
Yours sincerely,
