Gentlemen:-
Attr- Mr. Lynde.
Replying to your letter of July 18 with reference to the reservation for the room assigned to Mr. T. Y. Lee for the coming school year, I regret that I am not yet in a position to sign the contract on account of the uncertainty as to whether Mr. Lee will be in Andover for the coming year. I have to wait till I hear from Mr. Lee’s parents regarding this matter and shall promptly inform you of their decision. Meanwhile I should not, of course, ask you to hold the room for Mr. Lee if this would interfere with your regular procedure of making assignments of rooms.
I thank you for calling my attention to this matter, and remain
very truly yours
