Mr. Chow, Shou Son
Bank of East Asia Hongkong, China
My dear Mr. Chow:
My hearty thanks for your good letter of November 2 and my warmest and friendliest greetings for the new year. We are just in the midst of our ow holiday season here, and, as usual, the Chinese boys in town gathered with me at the annual tree. There were only three of them this year, however, an un usually small delegation.
Please give my friendliest greetings and good wishes to Yih Chang when you next see or write to him. From time to time the boys have told me of his progress, and I have rejoiced to know that he has been so steadily overcoming the old weaknesses which troubled us both so much in times past. It takes a lot of patience to steer these youngsters through the uncertain days of youth into strong and self-controlled manhood, but there is a lot of comfort in the thought that the majority of them, after all, find themselves and reward our efforts in the end.
Ever sincerely yours,
Mr. Chow, Shou Son
