Mr. C. F. Jacobsen, Cashier
National Metropolitan Bank
Washington D. C.
My dear Sir:
One of our present students, Mr. T. Kai Liang, has handed me your letter of January 21st in which you ask Mr. Liang to call at your bank in order to identify himself so that yon may be able to transact business with him. It is practically impossible for Mr. Liang to comply with your request at this time. I trust therefore that this note will serve to identify him to your satisfaction and may make it possible for you to transact with Mr. Liang the business in question without the necessity of the long trip to Washington and return. If I can be of further assistance in the matter, please do not hesitate to advise me.
Very sincerely yours,
Mr. C. F. Jacobsen, Cashier
