Handwritten letter sent from Robert S. Platt to Dr. Alfred E. Stearns. Asks for information about a Yale-in-China student entering Andover. States student is Chu Tsen. Describes Tsen's academic history. States Tsen has no preparation for traveling to America and may have difficulty with examinations. Explains lack of funds would prevent travel East unless a scholarship is awarded. Asks for any information be sent before June, when Platt and Tsen plan to travel.
