Dear Helen:
Thank you for your good letter and for the slips from Filene's. I will see that the Filene bills are paid promptly.
I had hoped to drive over to Merrimac by car and take your skates and skis with me, but this bad storm today seems likely to upset my plans. This morning I am hurrying off for New York, but on my return later in the week will either take the articles in question over to you myself or send them by express. This is just the time of year you ought to have them.
Trusting that all goes well with you and with the best of wishes
for the days ahead, believe me
Ever sincerely yours
