Dear Helen:
Your good letter has just reached me, and I write to thank you for it and for the picture of Whittier’s Home which you were good enough to enclose.
I wrote you just a brief note last night explaining that I was to be wary for a week and also telling you that your skis, snowshoes, etc. were being shipped by express or parcel post. I hope you have not been too much embarrassed by their failure to appear sooner, and I trust, too that you will get a lot of fun and good wholesome exercise out of them through tbs rest of the winter term.
