My dear Sun:-
I have just reached your letter of the 2d inst., and enclose a check for ten dollars, as requested. I hope that you boys are counting on early remittances from China, for the funds formerly placed at my disposal are almost exhausted, and I have on hand a number of heavy bills which have not yet been settled. The vacation expenses seem to have been unusually heavy this year.
Sincerely yours,
