My dear Sun:-

Thanks for your letter of the 19th inst. with enclosed receipt for the money recently sent you.

I think you are wise to stay in Waban during the vacation. I hope you may be able to continue some work, at least, during that period.

I have not yet received any money from your father or from Luk's guardian. I have been holding on my desk for several months bills amounting to several hundred dollars which I have not been able to pay, and even omitting these, there remains a balance for each one of you amounting to only a few dollars. Naturally I am a little disturbed. I know the money will come in time, but those whose bills have not been paid are getting a little restless. In case a remittance is not received this week, I think I shall suggest sending a cable message, for apparently some misunderstanding must exist somewhere. I have this morning received notice of a registered letter at the Post Office addressed to you, and I am asking the Post Office authorities to forward this to you at Waban. It is possible that this contained the [illegible]-for remittance.

With best wishes, as always, believe me,

Sincerely yours,
