Dear Rus:
Thanks for your note, and excuse this vary hasty reply, but the rush is on.
I will send you a check for the balance of Lee’s account when I have had a chance to see Lee and made sure that there are not other incidentals to be added. I am afraid his father will find it hard to understand just why this account has to be met by a series of checks instead of in one full lump.
I have just this moment received a telegram from a doctor in New York saying Chow is detained by asthma. I have just about reached my limit on him. Either he will have to go home, or I will have to go to an insane asylum.
Congratulations on the good luck at Round Pond. I would like to be sitting out on that sheet of water communing with nature, instead of wrestling with boys and parents.
Ever yours,
