Dear Alfred:
I am very sorry to learn about the mistake in that writing paper. Please re-ship the box direct to me and I will check the matter up with the firm that made it and see if I can get you what you wish.
I do not quite know how you can arrange to get to Merrimac on Washington’s Birthday, but, If you have an invitation from Mrs. Russell and can at the necessary permission from your own school, I have no objection to your going, provided the satisfactory railroad or other connections can be made to permit you to make the journey within the proper time limits.
Very sincerely yours.
