My dear Tommy:
For goodness’ sake don’t throw any more back bills at me, or we shall have to go into bankcruptcy. Fortunately I have enough cash in the bank, thanks to the loan I arranged some time ago, to cover this amount, and a little more. Your account, however, is several hundred dollars behind; and I had hoped to take up this loan, and pay you the interest charges on it long before this If you have not advised your father of the exact situation, it is very essential that you should do so at once; for I am sure that he would be the last one to wish you get behind in money matters,
With all best wishes, believe me, as ever,
Faithfully yours,
