My dear Tommy:
I have your letter of the 20th inst. with enclosed bills. Checks will be sent to cover these bills at once. In the future please forward bills to me just as soon as you get them. I notice that the account with the University, for example, is billed under date of March 2nd. Nearly two months have elapsed since that time. It won’t cost you any more to send them on by the next mail than it will to hold them in your pocket or in your desk for a couple of months, and it may in some cases cost you less.
Kwan dropped in to see me yesterday, and we had a short, but mighty pleasant time together. I understand that he is to meet you this vacation.
With the best of wishes, believe me always
Faithfully yours,
