Description

My dear Mr. Stearns:
I am enclosing the formal notification of failure for Mr. Y.C. Lee. He has passed only nine hours out of a total of fifteen and is therefore rated a freshman again for next year. I feel pretty sure that it is lack of application on his part, although he took a big contract when he tried to do our freshman Latin after having had no Latin for one year. My advice would be that he apply for readmission to Sheff, because I think the Latin is going to be an insurmountable obstacle to him. He says he has been studying on the Latin for the entrance conditions. We have had no returns yet of those conditions, so I can not tell how he came out in them.
With very best regards,
Sincerely yours,
