My dear Mrs. Mitchell:
Allow me to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 4th inst. With enclosed room application. The selection of a room will have my most careful attention when the arrangements are made at the end of the year.
I enjoyed a pleasant half-hour with Alan Fox recently in New York, and I am sure that he will be glad to know that arrangements connected with your boy’s admission to the school next year have progressed thus far.
Very sincerely yours.
