Dear Poynter:
I have your letter of June 29th, but it did not fully answer my difficulty. I realized that Mr. Stearns would allow John to return to school, but was anxious to get his personal advice as to whether it was wise to have John come back this fall. You said that my letter would be forwarded to Mr. Stearns somewhere in the woods, but being afraid that he might think that you had already fully covered the point which I had in mind, I am sending him another note. I hope that he is somewhere within the reach of correspondence.
Yours very truly
