My dear Dr. Steams:
You will be glad to learn that we are receiving some substantial orders for Sub-Target Rifle Machines from China,and it is very probable that I shall go there in the very near future.
My object in writing you is to ask you if you will kindly give me a letter of introduction to the late Minister at Washington, or to any others whom you think it well for me to meet while there.
If I am asking too much, please tell me so frankly, but if not, I shall be greatly obliged for any letters you may see fit to send me.
