My dear Dr. Stearns
I am going to Washington week after next to attend the Army and Navy Reception at the White House, and am quite anxious to meet the new Chinese Minister while there under favorable auspices. I do not know whether you can help me in this or not, but if you can, I should highly appreciate it.
