Andover, Mass., July 17, 1911.
Doctor E. A. Eastman,

Dear Sir:

On my return to Andover I find your letter of the 14th instant relating to a bill of Mr. Sun. Will you kindly advise me whether the bill in question was contracted by Mr. Lun Cho Sun of his brother Fayuen. I have charge of the funds of both of these boys and am obliged to keep their accounts separate.

I was not aware that the bill had even been contracted since these Chinese boys are noticably [sic] reticent about their financial obligations in spite of the fact that they have been distinctly told by their guardian in China that no bills were to be contracted without my knowledge and consent.

Kindly send me an itemized bill so that I may be able to return full receipt to the guardian.

Very truly yours,
Principal.
