My dear Mr. Stearns:
Your letter of the 24th received this morning enclosing check of $20.00 for Fayuen, which I have delivered to him and herewith send his receipt for same. You do not say that he has your permission to spend the vacation in Boston, but I infer it from your absence of anything to the contrary.
Dictated.
