My dear Sun:-
Your letter and postal both came during my absence from Andover. I reached home Saturday night, and hence have had no chance to comply with your request until this morning. I hasten to send you herewith the desired check for ten dollars. Please sign and return the enclosed receipt.
I wrote Mr. Tong a number of weeks ago and enclosed statements covering the accounts of yourself and your brother and Luk. I hope, therefore, that we shall be able to count on additional funds in the near future. In the meantime you still have a little balance on hand, though I have not dared pay several bills which ought to be settled.
I am delighted to hear good reports of your work and program at Duxbury, and I hope that the year may continue to bring you increasing satisfaction as you become more familiar with American ways and methods,l and realize more fully the value of a sound and thorough education.
Very sincerely yours,
