Dear Sir:
Mr.Stearns is away, and will not return until the middle of the month, therefore your letter has been opened by me. No money for you has yet arrived from China. A letter from Mr.Tong written April 1st has just come, however, in which he says he will send same money over in June. A few days before the date of Mr. Tong a letter, Mr. Stearns wrote to Mr. Tong, asking him to send some money at once. No doubt Mr. Tong has by this time received that letter, and very likely the money is already on the way.
Very truly yours.
