Mr. Tsai Sing Kan,
Tientsin, China

Dear Sir:

I thank you for your letter of the 12th ult. Relating to Mr.C.K.Lee, who has recently become a member of this school. After consultation with both Dr. Tenney and your ambassador to this country, Sir Chentung Liang Cheng, and on the receipt of instructions from Mr. Lee’s father, the boy has been regularly enrolled in our school. He seems to enjoy his life and work here, and I trust that his record may prove in every way satisfactory to his friends. We have taken a good deal of pride in our Chinese boys, of whom we have a number in the school at this time. They have made excellent records with us, and have proved themselves to be among our very best pupils.

I shall be pleased to have you communicate the contents of this letter to Mrs.Lee.

Very truly yours.

Alfred Stearns.
Principal
