My dear Miss Tsai:
Your letter of July 8th came after Dr. Stearns had left town for his camp up in New Hampshire. I am forwarding your letter to him together with the slips from Filene's which you enclosed.
In your letter of July 10, which has just been received, you ask Dr. Stearns to send you some stamps. I am enclosing with this letter twenty-five two cent stamps and fifteen one cent stamps.
Very truly yours,
Dr. Alfred E. Stearns

My dear Dr. Stearns:
The enclosed letters came yesterday. I do not know, of course, what plans you may have for Helen and Alfred Tsai, but have asked Mr. Clifford at the Inn if they could take care of them in case you would like to have them do so, and have received an affirmative reply. Mr. Clifford also says that if Helen and Alfred do come to the Inn they will keep them occupied and take good care of them.
Sincerely,
Dr. Alfred E. Stearns

Dear Alfred:
Probably Dr. Stearns has already sent you instructions about returning to Andover. I do not know what ho has planned in your case, but Helen is to came to Boston by train and I am to meet her there on Friday. Her train leaves Plymouth at 8:45 in the morning next Friday and reaches Boston at 1:00. In case you should not hear from Dr. Steams before then, could you come on that same train? Then I could meet you both and bring you out to Andover. Perhaps Mr. Slayton would be willing to take you to Plymouth for that early train instead of bringing you to Andover, as you have suggested.
No doubt Dr. Steams will send you definite word within a day or two, and you of course should do exactly as he advises.
Very truly yours,
Alfred Tsai

My dear Dr. Stearns:
I shall be glad to meet Helen Tsai in Boston next Friday. The train from Plymouth is due there at 1:00 p.m., and things are rather quiet here just now so I can easily run in for a couple of hours, or more.
The enclosed letter came from Alfred yesterday, and very likely you have already sent him instructions about reaching Andover. If not, perhaps he could come a day early, on the same train, and I could take care of them both. Or, Elmer Grover could meet him the next day. I have written Alfred a note, copy of which is enclosed.
Harry Meixell and wife were here yesterday, and registered their eldest son for admission two or three years hence. Harry hasn’t changed a bit. I recognized him the moment he entered the room. Fanny Erving Arundale also filled out a registration card for her eldest. Howard Josselyn was here this morning and left his very best regards for you.
We are glad to know that some parts of New England are getting clear sunny days occasionally! Not many of them seem to hit Andover.
Between the Stewarts and myself the Tsais will be looked after, so please do not feel anxious about them.
Sincerely,
Dr. Alfred E. Stearns

My dear Dr. Stearns:
Helen and Alfred went to South Weymouth this morning. Mr. Shields took them to the South Station in his car, and Mrs. Nye met them at the South Weymouth Station. I called Mrs. N. on the phone late in the morning to make sure they arrived safely and to inquire about spending money, for Helen sent word by Mr. Shields that they would need some. I had previously asked her how much she had, and she said $4., and that she would let me know how much Alfred had. Mrs. Nye seemed to think they probably had enough for the present anyway.
Mr. Shields says you are planning to come down the latter part of next week, so I will send no mail after Labor Day unless I have some more definite word from you Tuesday morning.
Sincerely,
Dr. Alfred E. Stearns
