Unlike Tsai, who was placed under my special care and oversight he manages his own affairs. Our Chinese boys as a whole have proved remarkable reliable, but every once in a while they have a queer way of taking things for granted without taking others into their confidence. His older brother, who was extremely popular when he was here, was pretty level-headed too.
