Poughkeepsie Dear Sirs: The bearer of this letter, Mr. K.P.Tsai, or commonly known in this country as Charlie Tsai, has been a student at Phillips Academy for several years and my ward during that time. His two older brothers were here before him and his father, an early American student, is a prominent official in China. Mr. Tsai has been taking work with us preparatory to a college course. but he has not made the progress hoped for largely because of illnesses.His brother, who is now in this country, has discussed the problem with me and it has seemed wise to give the boy a business training from now on.
