If your opinion be in the affirmative, I shall go to Philadelphia on the 4th of September, first to visite a few friends of mine, then to see the exposition, and lastly to attend our Conference which ends on the 15th, giving me ample time to reach College, scheduled to open on the 23rd. I shall not see you again before returning Amherst; so I will say "good-bye" to you through this letter and my best wishes to Miss Clemons when she returns to the States.
