We have a good many nationalities presented here already. One of the most interesting and promising boys we have is a young Italian who under circumstances very similar to those existing in the present instance was sent here by Dr Huntington of New York. This boy, too, is preparing for the ministry, and we believe that he will make good. I mention these cases simply that you may understand that while we are accustomed to hold pretty rigidly to our regular courses, we are at the same time willing to make necessary allowances and exceptions for foreigners. Consequently I think we can do as much for your friend. From the catalogue which I am sending you under separate cover you will be able to see what our general courses are. As most of our boys go to Yale, these courses are arranged to meet in full the Yale requirements. I see no reason why such a course cannot be satisfactorily arranged I do not understand from your letter whether it is your wish to have the boy enter here this year, or whether you wish him to wait until the opening of the next school year. If you will advise me on this point I shall be glad to offer were satisfactory suggestions You will be able to tell from the catalogue the amount of ground covered by our classes term by term as well as during the entire year.
