It is ture that the boy’s father has asked me to act as his American guardian during the lad’s stay in this country and that I have been accustomed to pay the boy’s bill remitted to me from time to time. The Matter of personal expenses the boy has taken care of out of a small monthly allowance which I have granted him and by O.K.ing and presenting to me for payment such incidental bills as he has found it necessary to contract. Now that he is at a distance I fully concur with your suggestion that funds should be placed in your hands, to be used as oocasion may arise and always subject to your approval.
