Under separate cover I am mailing you circulars of two schools to which we are accustomed to recommend boys who are not quite far enough advanced to meet our requirements. One is Dummer Academy, at South Byfield, Massachusetts, and the other a small home school which my brother conducts at Mont Vernon, New Hampshire. The personal touch would naturally be stronger in the latter, though even at Dummer the numbers are small enough,—from thirty to fifty, I believe,—to make it possible to give a good deal of individual attention I am inclined to think that the boy could get the foundation that he needs at either of these schools. One of our new Chinese boys, Ying Chiun Lo, was at Mont Vernon last year, and was very happy there. Lo is doing very good work with us this year. We have kept in pretty close touch with both of these schools. and hence are disposed to recommend them for boys in need of just this kind of work. There are other schools of like nature not quite so near at hand, none of which are of excellent caliber. Should you desire, I shall be glad to submit the names of some of these.
