My impression is that the boy's course which he is taking now is far better adapted to his needs and inclinations than was the straight college preparatory work he was attempting to do with us. At any rate he seems keenly interested and I believe will get a great deal out of the year. His older brother shares my hopes in this respect. Certainly the boy was more than friendly and responsive when I had my last interview with him only several weeks ago. As you probably know, I have turned over to Kuo Tsao all of the funds placed in my hands to be used in Kuo Fang's account. It seemed to me that as long as the older brother was here in America he would be much better able than I to handle the situation effectively. I have assured him however that , I shall be ready and glad to reassume the responsibility at any later date if he should deem it wise to make use of my services again.
