My dear Chang:

My heartiest thanks for your fine letter of recent date. I am glad to know of your whereabouts and of your progress. We have all Just returned from the camp at Connecticut lake. Arthur Sun was not with us this year, as he was at a Tech camp, and Frank Lin left early. The rest, however, stayed through. Charlie Tsai was in the office this morning on his way to Amherst where he is to take entrance examinations, though I doubt whether he will obtain admission before another year.

The opening school rush is on, so that I can only send you this brief note. It carries with it, however, the old-time good will and all kinds of good wishes for the days ahead.

Very sincerely yours,

My dear Chang:

Thank you for your interesting letter of February 5th. I am leaving town this afternoon to be gone several days, and can send you only a hurried reply this morning.

I should certainly welcome the opportunity to talk over your problems with you. If you are not to be in this vicinity before early spring, why could not we plan to get together when I come down to New Haven the middle of March to meet a preaching engagement at the University on Sunday, March 16th.

Faithfully yours.

My dear Chang:

Thank you for your good letter.

After the morning appointment at Yale on Sunday, March 16, I am due to leave for the Choate school where I speak in the afternoon. Following that engagement I expect to return to New York, where I have an engagement Monday. It is possible though not probable, that I shall be in New Haven Sunday evening. I am afraid though that I can not count on that time for a definite engagement with you much as I should like to talk over your problems with you. Perhaps we can get together at a later date.

Faithfully yours

Many thanks for your friendly note. It is good to hear from you again, but it will be better when we can sit down together and talk things over to our hearts’content. Men you are at Harvard next year, there certainly should be opportunities to do this.
I am sorry that I haven’t a copy of my book which I can spare at this time. If you succeed in picking one up, however, I shall be only too glad to authograph It for you and as I have done already in a number of cases.

Wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year in every way, believe me always

Very sincerely yours,

My dear Chang:

Thank you for your good letter.

After the morning appointment at Yale on Sunday, March 16, I am due to leave for the Choate school where I speak in the afternoon. Following that engagement 1 expect to return to New York, where I have an engagement Monday. It is possible though not probable, that I shall be in New Haven Sunday evening. I am afraid though that 1 can not count on that time for a definite engagement with you much as I should like to talk over your problems with you. Perhaps we can get together at a later date.

Faithfully yours
